The Block Scheduling Program is a vital function of the hospital’s overall operation. SIRH has designated clinical staff to an assigned number of patient rooms. Thus, all the patients in a particular block of rooms have the same group of people caring for their everyday needs. The teams are identified by colors so patients, visitors and staff are able to associate the group of rooms with a particular health care team.
The employees of SIRH want to ensure that each person coming into contact with our facility has a positive experience. Therefore, a Clinical Director is assigned to each block of rooms so that he/she can oversee the patient’s overall care and provide oversight to the clinical team. Each team has a Guest Relations representative, who is a non-clinical staff member that ensures the patient’s needs, whether big or small, are being addressed.
